does stainless steel set of airport metal detectors
also what is the minimal size metal or steel needs to be detected by the
metal detector- l am asking because l have a very small piece of a
stainless steel needle inside my skin and was wondering if it would set of
the detector
A small chunk of a needle most likely will NOT set the
detectors off and you won't get wanded or strip searched. HOWEVER as the
other posters suggested get a doctors note stating that you do have a
chunk of metal in you and where it is.
it may, might want to bring a doctors note (meaning a medical
report)
In Israel, probably yes. In USA, probably not.
Bring a note &/or x-ray from your Doctor telling what it is. This will
reduce the amount of problems & questions.
